The Projekt Gröbzig, East Germany.

Pictured are the British girls celebrating after their fist afternoon performance at the Synagoge in Gröbzig. Photographed on assignment for Museum Synagoge  Gröbzig as part of a European Youth Project to tackle racism, anti-semitism and intolerance. Groups of young people from Poland, Germany and Britain were brought together at The Jewish Museum in Gröbzig to produce a multimedia piece dealing with these themes over a three week period.  A final production and display of their work would take place in the last few days of the project. The Synagoge itself is part of a Jewish Museum which was one of the only few in Germany to survive the 1930′s Nazis Kristallnacht, when most Synagoge’s were destroyed.
